Family

I am married, and my wife and I have three children. One of them is living in Braunschweig, having finished her studies of Computer and Communications Engineering at the TU Braunschweig with a master's degree. The other two are studying Engineering Physics in Oldenburg, resp., Technical Mathematics in Bremen.

Hobbies

With an interesting and demanding job for which I commute between Braunschweig and Oldenburg, and a family, I have not got much time left for hobbies. So I do not play chess or bridge anymore (what I did in my student years). But for quite some years now, I enjoy dancing Argentine Tango with my wife.

Other

Sitting at a desk at the institute does not involve much physical activity, and while at times passionate, dancing Tango is not at all exhausting. So, in trying to stay fit, I do some sports. For instance, if you happen to come to Braunschweig or Oldenburg, you might see me on my bike.
